The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I'm a Casting Producer with ABC Television and we're looking for unique, dynamic, outgoing families who participate in the vampire culture! We want to speak with families who are involved in many different ways, whether it be serving as heads of vampire communities, running vampire websites, owning a specialty shop, leading vampire tours, or just collecting vampire memorabilia. We think your culture is fascinating and would love to learn more about your every day lives!



We’re currently casting these great families for ABC’s hit family show, Wife Swap. Please don’t be confused by the title – Wife Swap is a family show on ABC primetime. The premise is simple: two moms from two very different families get the opportunity to swap lives (but not bedrooms!) for a week to experience what it’s like to live a different lifestyle – and to see what they can teach each other about their own! In this case we’re looking to feature families interested and involved in the vampire culture. It’s a unique lifestyle that most people know NOTHING about and we feel that this could be a fun way to introduce another family – and our viewing public - to your philosophy. I found your information online through a vampire related website and thought you might be a great resource. I would greatly appreciate you forwarding my information on to any of your colleagues, friends, and family members who might be interested in sharing their lives with us for a week!



All featured families will receive a $20,000 financial honorarium for their time commitment – and $1000 goes to anyone who refers a family that makes it on the show! We are looking for two parent families with children (between the ages of 5 and 18) who are ready for adventure! May, aka DarknessBound, is one of the coolest people on the planet. She came out to Phoenix to visit LadyLilian and I, Cancer, and Scarlett. She's helping LadyLilian and I make La Bal Masqué Nocturne a reality this October. So that was the crux of her visit. But visiting friends was the real agenda, and that she did.



You need only to real her journal entries to see that not only did she enjoy her visit, but reading between the lines, it's also evident that I think she'd move out here if she could. I told her, there's something magickal about Arizona. People visit, and even if they leave, they always come back. I can point to Cancer and Scarlett for examples of that.



The summer temperatures can be abusive, and yes, summer started here in earnest in May, and it's only going to get hotter. Yet you can get used to the heat, and eventually learn to crave it, and miss it even during the winter months.



At any rate, I didn't get to spend as much time with May while she was here, as I had a birthday party to put on for my step-daughter who's 13 now. (Where's my shotgun?)



I did have the chance to meet up with her for dinner on Friday night, with my kids in tow. Cancer joined us as well, which was cool. Cancer took her out that night to the Counter Culture coffee house in Phoenix where they met up with Scarlett. Luckily, Cancer also had the time to show her around the Valley Saturday and Sunday nights. I know he took good care of her, and she had a good time.



Sunday night, LadyLilian and I showed May the hotel and ballroom where the Ball will be, and before heading out to dinner I took her to the Hole-In-The-Rock at Papago Park. That's one of my favorite places -- a short hike to a fine view of the Valley of the Sun. We cooled off after that with some homemade slushes at our apartment.



Then we went to the Skeptical Chymist Irish restaurant in Scottsdale. May said she never had Irish food, so I figured I'd take her to what *I* think is the best Irish restaurant around here. We all ate well that night.



Finally, back at the apartment, before taking her to the airport, we recorded a quick podcast, which I hope to post tomorrow night. This means May holds the record of three appearances on my podcast, and is also now the first person to have joined us "in studio".



She's back home, safe and sound.
